There are currently nine slideshows available, the first three are aimed at younger secondary age children (from age 11) and the fourth is aimed at students studying at Advanced Level and beyond, though all the slideshows may be useful for any students unfamiliar with WolframAlpha. The fifth slideshow is on Statistics, the sixth on Matrices, the seventh on Differential Equations and the eighth is on Set Theory and Logic. Note that these are also available on a blog aimed at students. The ninth show – a little fun with WolframAlpha – the sillier questions one can ask – I love their sense of humour!

Hi J, one of the reasons I don’t like ‘BODMAS’ – it is not clear.
Multiplication and division have equal precedence – it does not matter which comes first. Similarly addition and subtraction have equal precedence.
Do you have a particular example in mind?
Sometimes it helps to include brackets to avoid any ambiguity.
On slide 5, of KS3 part 1, there is a link to a homework helper from Aplusmath. That site seems to do multiplication before division, whereas BODMAS implies that division should go first.
